The Preble County Board of Commissioners announces the arrival of CHIP funds! The CHIP grant will fund the following programs for income eligible Preble County residents living outside the City of Eaton (The City of Eaton administers its own program):     * Home Repair, Village of Gratis: may include furnace repair or replacement, plumbing repair/replacement, roofing, etc. (NOTE: Acceptance of Home Repair applications for remaining areas in Preble County is on hold pending review of current applications.)     * Emergency Monthly Housing Payments: a one-time emergency assistance payment to prevent or cure homelessness.     * Fair Housing: information and education on fair housing issues affecting county residents     * Habitat for Humanity: CHIP will assist in the funding of two Habitat houses (contact local affiliate for information and application) All potential applicants must apply with the HIT Foundation and will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Funds made available by the Preble County Commissioners in partnership with Ohio Department of Development’s Office of Housing and Community Parnerships and administered by Home Is The Foundation
