 The Preble County
Board of Commissioners

announces the arrival of CHIP funds!

The CHIP grant will fund the following programs for income eligible Preble County residents living outside the City of Eaton (The City of Eaton administers its own program):

    * Home Repair, Village of Gratis: may include furnace repair or replacement, plumbing repair/replacement, roofing, etc. (NOTE: Acceptance of Home Repair applications for remaining areas in Preble County is on hold pending review of current applications.)

    * Emergency Monthly Housing Payments: a one-time emergency assistance payment to prevent or cure homelessness.

    * Fair Housing: information and education on fair housing issues affecting county residents

    * Habitat for Humanity: CHIP will assist in the funding of two Habitat houses (contact local affiliate for information and application)

All potential applicants must apply with the HIT Foundation and will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Applicants may request forms online. Forms will be distributed by mail and must be returned to the HIT Foundation office, 1751 North Barron Street, Eaton OH 45320.
Applicants must submit forms in person and will be scheduled for an appointment at that time.
